DILEMMA IN STRENGTHENING BUMIPUTERA BUSINESS MARKET COMMUNITY – LIBERALIZATION VERSUS SPOON FEEDING MENTALITY

What is the main mission critical element which contributed the Malays & Bumiputera business market community left behind compared to others? Is it true we are not good enough to carry the capacity as a business leader & command the business market? Is it true we are still lacking the competitiveness & never say died business attitude? It is true we are driven by the follower approach & neither driver nor innovator approach? It is true we are well driven by “wait & see” mentality & spoon feeding government contract approach?
There can be 1001 answered for the above mention subject matter, there will a lot of mix reaction towards the above golden question last but not least rest assured we can compiled a lot of perception towards the above issue. My humble & down to earth opinion in addressing this issue is very simple & quite straight forward, I totally disagreed if the Malays & Bumiputera being label as not a good business leader because it’s already proven in the business community market some powerful & greatest corporate tycoon and industrialist magnate are the Malays & even some of them started their business conglomerate with a humble beginning and added with passionate & dedication they climbed up the corporate ladder stands until where they are today.
My humble & down to earth opinion in addressing the issue of lacking competitiveness & never say died business attitude among the Malays also quite straight forward, partially we to agree with this particular statement although it may not represent the whole Malays business community network. The key issue is very simple the Malays can’t be compared with others especially the Chinese business community network in the sense of “never say died” business attitude because for 100 over the years the Chinese business community network has been struggling to improve, to be better & better and finally to be at the top and they don’t have any preference except “never say died” business attitude to fulfill their sweet dream. We the Malays a bit different down the road for almost100 over the years we are still within the comfort zone attitude & we are not across out of the box attitude. However to my entire dearest beloved Malays business community network why the hell we should worried about attitude? Attitude is something that we can totally change if we really mean for it; it is not something that Allah SWT. fixed for us (sikap bukan sifat semula jadi yang Allah SWT kurniakan kat kita beb). Perhaps liberalization is the main keys & element to drive us to be more competitive and make the Malays an award winning in the best of the best competitive business market.
My humble & down to earth opinion in addressing the issue which drill down the Malays are driven by the follower approach & neither driver nor innovator approach also quite straight forward even I’m quite disappointed in elaborating this solid fact. My disappointment is due to in order to be a competitive driver & a consistent innovator we really required a strong cash flow capital injection as well as a good corporate roundtable & physically powerful channel partnership network. The common problem for the Malays is source of funding, cash flow capital injection and a well build corporate network. Slightly advantage for the others especially the Chinese they foreseen this as a mission critical therefore they gear up & championing this particular area. However to my entire dearest beloved Malays business community network why the hell we should worried about this approach, it’s something that not too late for us to gear up & strengthen it, most importantly the bonding must be create with an open heart & sincerity must at the top of the flagship.
My humble & down to earth opinion in addressing the “wait & see” mentality & spoon feeding approach is a bit ruthless and unsympathetic. Reason being, the wait & see” mentality & spoon feeding government contract approach is the main flagship & mission critical which address the failure of the Malays business community network & clearly formulate the Malays felt behind others. Approach such as direct negotiation, Kontraktor Payung, government central contract destroy the Malays business community network to be more competitive, innovative, risk taker driven approach and prefer within the comfort zone attitude. Not to pointing finger neither blamed the government because the original concept of all this approach is for the sake of the Malays however to my entire dearest beloved Malays business community network why the hell orang2 Melayu kita ni bila dapat projek depa pergi jual dekat kaum Cina or sometimes depa pergi sub the project to the Chinese (konsep Ali Baba untung atas angin). To my entire dearest beloved Malays business community network by put into practice this kind of approach when can we become competitive? when can we become creative, innovative & own the technology?

The answer for the golden question is with you my entire dearest beloved Malays business community network, is it high time for us to gear up for liberalization approach or we want to politicking it & still accomplish the “spoon feeding approach? Seperti kata pepatah Melayu “tepuk dada tanya selera”
